Create Glossary

Follow these steps to create a new glossary in GlossML format.

Procedure

  1. Select FileNew Glossary ([Ctrl+N] on Windows/Linux, [Cmd+N] on macOS) from the main menu or click the New Glossary button on the toolbar.
The New Glossary dialog is displayed:
    New Glossary Dialog
  2. Select the source language for the new glossary from the Source Language drop-down list.
The list contains the most common languages that are valid according to BCP 47. The first entry, Any Language, is a valid GlossML source language, stored with the code *all* as in the TMX standard. It means that any of the languages included in the glossary can be considered the source language.
  3. Click the Create Glossary button.
  4. Add content to the glossary and save it with FileSave Glossary ([Ctrl+S] on Windows/Linux, [Cmd+S] on macOS), or click the Save Glossary button on the toolbar.

Results

A new glossary with columns for terms and definitions in the selected source language is created and displayed in Anchovy.
