Working with Glossary Terms

You can retrieve and manage glossary terms for individual segments during translation.

Get Glossary Terms for a Single Segment

  1. Select the segment you want to translate.
  2. Select Terms → Get Glossary Terms ([Ctrl+K] on Windows/Linux, [Cmd+K] on macOS) from the main menu or click the Get Glossary Terms button on the Terms panel.
Results are displayed in the Terms panel. When more than one term is available, use the following commands to cycle through them:
  • Terms → Select Next Term ([Ctrl+Alt+Down Arrow] on Windows/Linux, [Cmd+Alt+Down Arrow] on macOS)
  • Terms → Select Previous Term ([Ctrl+Alt+Up Arrow] on Windows/Linux, [Cmd+Alt+Up Arrow] on macOS)

Inserting Glossary Terms

  • To insert the currently selected term into the target, select Terms → Insert Selected Term ([Ctrl+Alt+K] on Windows/Linux, [Cmd+Alt+K] on macOS) from the main menu.
  • To insert a specific term by its position number (1 through 10), select Terms → Insert Term… and choose the desired term, or use [Ctrl+Alt+1] through [Ctrl+Alt+0] on Windows/Linux ([Cmd+Alt+1] through [Cmd+Alt+0] on macOS).
