Working with Translation Memory Matches

You can retrieve and manage Translation Memory matches for individual segments during translation.

Get TM Matches for a Single Segment

  1. Select the segment you want to translate.
  2. Select TM-MT → Get Translations from Memory ([Ctrl+M] on Windows/Linux, [Cmd+M] on macOS) from the main menu or click the Get Translations from Memory button on the Translation Memory panel.
Results are displayed in the Translation Memory panel. When more than one match is available, use the following commands to cycle through them:
  • View → Next Translation Memory Match ([Ctrl+Alt+Right Arrow] on Windows/Linux, [Cmd+Alt+Right Arrow] on macOS)
  • View → Previous Translation Memory Match ([Ctrl+Alt+Left Arrow] on Windows/Linux, [Cmd+Alt+Left Arrow] on macOS)

Managing Translation Memory Matches

  • To copy the selected match to the target of the current segment, select TM-MT → Accept Translation Memory Match ([Ctrl+Alt+M] on Windows/Linux, [Cmd+Alt+M] on macOS) from the main menu or click the Accept Translation button on the Translation Memory panel.
  • To copy all 100% matches to their respective segments at once, select TM-MT → Accept All 100% Matches from the main menu.
  • To remove all existing Translation Memory matches from the project, select TM-MT → Remove All Translation Memory Matches from the main menu.
